Report Category Selection
This is the initial Report Category selection screen. Here you can select to generate reports by choosing either the Diary History or Summary & Analysis report formats. You can also review previously generated reports in the Report Output Cache.
There are two main report formats available in the system. Both can be run across any viable timeframe from your Diary, and the output of the reports can be sent from your iOS device to your Doctor, caregiver, or family members as needed. Let’s take a look at the two reports in detail.
The Diary Entry report is basically a way to create a hardcopy version of all the data you’ve entered into Chronic Pain Tracker. It will produce a PDF or HTML based report that includes each Diary Entry with the exact data that you entered into the system. It’s an ideal way to let someone like your doctor review your pain history in detail without having to give them your device.
The Summary & Analysis report is the more powerful of the two report formats. This report aggregates all of the Diary Entries within the selected timeframe and then analyzes that data to provide a detailed summary of your pain history. Each Tracker will provide one or more graphical views for you and your doctor to analyze. The graphs generated within this report can be viewed on the device or exported as a PDF or HTML document.
The Report Output Cache is a local folder on your device within the Documents directory of the application. Inside this folder, we store the PDF and HTML versions of the reports that you generate. It also contains any data exported using the CSV Export which is available for the “Summary & Analysis” report.
You can actually access this folder via Apple iTunes as well, but we thought it would be much more convenient to have the ability to review and print, send, or synchronize those reports right within the application.
