Which Browsers should be used to view HTML reports?

When creating a Diary History or Summary Report, you have the option of generating either a PDF or HTML formatted document. If you decide to use the HTML format, then there are some possible browser compatibility issues to be concerned with.

The HTML reports generated by Chronic Pain Tracker include all the necessary image data within a single file which makes them very portable and allows viewing of the reports even if you don’t have access to the internet. However, we have seen differences in how certain browsers handle these embedded images. Here are our recommendations for viewing/printing the reports:

  • On the PC:
    • Apple Safari – works great
    • Mozilla Firefox – works great
    • Google Chrome – works great (when printing, set the browser zoom level to 83% for ideal page margins)
    • Microsoft Internet Explorer – Not recommended
  • On the Mac:
    • Apple Safari – works great
    • Mozilla Firefox – works great
    • Google Chrome – works great
  • On the iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad
    • Chronic Pain Tracker built-in viewer – works great (and now offers both Portrait & Landscape views)
    • Goodreader – works great
